This workshop will be focusing on the the secondary module, Global Connections: Forests of the World. This module has been correlated to North Carolina standards for high school Biology, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Civics & Economics, and 21st Century Geography. Project Learning Tree (PLT) is an interdisciplinary environmental education program designed for educators of ANY background. The hands-on activities facilitate the exploration of topics including communication, economics, energy and fuels, geology, government, history, recycling, transportation, watersheds, wildlife, and much more! Participants will learn about the materials through direct engagement in the PLT activities throughout the workshop.

This workshop qualifies for Criteria I in the EE Certification Program, as well as CEUs. There is a $10 registration fee, and pre-registration is required. The PLT Activity Guide is provided free of change from the North Carolina Forestry Association.
