If you are turning 65 soon, you probably are getting bombarded with information via email, phone and your mailbox! It can be hard to filter through all the information and make good sound decisions for your health care.
The Senior's Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) is here to help you. In North Carolina, SHIIP Volunteers are trained by the NC Department of Insurance to assist you with Medicare Parts A and B, compare Medicare Supplemental and Advantage (Part C) plans, compare and sign up for prescription drug plans (Part D) and understand your Medicare benefits.
Ivy Brantley Reid, SHIIP Coordinator for Lenoir County, is located in the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Lenoir County Center. In addition, Lenoir County is fortunate to have the Van Braxton as a volunteer as well. Van served as the director for the NC SHIIP program for several years.
If you need assistance give our office a call at 252-527-2191 and ask for SHIIP!
