4-H Feathered Flock Project

4-Hlogoblankth th2

Each year Lenoir County Public School children hatch eggs in their classrooms as part of the 4-H Embryology program. This year, 4-H is continuing the project by allowing kids in the community to adopt these hatchlings to take come and raise their own flock. Each participant will receive at least 3 birds and must take care of them. These birds are yours to keep! You will learn a lot about raising chickens through the everyday care of them as well as through guidance from the Extension Agents. There will be workshops this summer and we will demonstrate all we have learned at a 4-H Chicken Show at the Lenoir County Fair this fall. Sign up now to reserve your birds!
