What is Med Instead of Meds?
The Mediterranean-style eating pattern incorporates the basics of healthy eating that are traditionally practiced in countries that border the Mediterranean Sea. Eating the Med Way has been proven to protect against chronic diseases.
Classes include instruction and hands-on cooking. Topics include: Introduction to the Med Way; Change your protein; Swap your fats; Eat more vegetables and fruits; Make your grains whole; and Rethink your sweets. Sessions will be from 10:30am – 12:30pm on Tuesdays starting January 8th.
Location: Lenoir County Cooperative Extension Office
Cost: $10 per session or $50 for all 6 sessions. Fees are due at the beginning of class.
